Unique red lipstick

I got inspiration for this blog from Merilyn Monroe. I was never her fan, but a little while ago I watched 2-part miniseries about her life, titled The secret life of Merilyn Monroe. I was even surprised myself, but it left quite an impression.

Series is about Merilyn’s life. Starting with little girl, when one “aunt” to another took care of her, orphanages and abuses were not a news for her, till grown woman, who became one of the most wanted in Holywood. 5^th of August is anniversary of Merilyn’s mysterious death. She was a true icon, an object of desire for many men, even American president Kennedy and a woman, who still (even after all this years) owns a red lipstick. The unique red lipstick.

Red lipstick in something special. It means passion, it means seduction, it means “I have a guts to wear it”. It has caught my eye form another point of view: obtaining the color. Base for the red pigment is carminic acid, which is obtain for female cochineal bug. Thinking I will wear bugs on my lips, no thanks, I hate the idea! And I am pretty sure I am not the only one. But I am also sure, this fact was the challenge for Labortoires Phyt’s. They proved, that it is possible to create this exclusive, glamorous red lipstick with natural pigment and organic ingredients.
